On 4/21/2024 at approximately 2220 hours, AST made a traffic stop on a truck in Big Lake for an equipment violation. The driver was identified as Ricky Luker, 46, of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Luker had multiple convictions of DWLR. Luker was given a misdemeanor citation for DWLS.

On 4/22/24 at approximately 0343 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a REDDI near the intersection of the Parks Hwy and Vine Rd. Investigation revealed that a driver, Norman Andrew, age 23 of Napakiak, was driving recklessly and under the influence of alcohol. Norman was arrested without incident and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was booked and subsequently released on his own recognizance.

On 4/21/2024 at approximately 1329 hours AST received a report of a suspicious vehicle blocking a lane of traffic in Wasilla. Upon arrival, AST contacted Butch McGavran Age 56 of Wasilla. Investigations revealed Butch had an active warrant out of Anchorage for $500.00 for the original charge of DUI/Misuse of Plates. Butch was arrested for his warrant and transported to Matsu Pre-Trial where he was held on bail for $500.00.

On 04/22/2024 at 1600 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a warrant tip off Pittman Road. Investigation revealed, Latish Culbertson 32 YOA had two outstanding warrants for her arrest for Fail to Remand Original Change DUI. Latish was transported and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial where she is held without bail.

On 4/22/24 at approximately 1000 hours Palmer AST received a report of a REDDI vehicle near Seldon and Bogard. AST located the vehicle and stopped it near PWH and Midtown Dr. Investigation revealed the driver, Amirah Rutledge, age 30 of Palmer, was in possession of Fentanyl and was currently on US Federal Probation. Rutledge was arrested for MICS 5 and violating her probation and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial. A charge of DUI is suspected upon toxicology results.

On 4/22/24 at approximately 1445 hours Palmer AST performed a routine traffic stop on Glenn Hwy turning into Palmer Fred Meyer. Investigation revealed the vehicle had a license plate that did not match the vehicle. Further investigation revealed the driver, Brittany Kelso, age34 of Palmer, did not have insurance on the vehicle. Additionally, her license was suspended for failure to maintain insurance. Kelso was issued misdemeanor citations for Improper Use of Registration and No Liability Insurance. She was also issued a citation for Driving While License Suspended.

On April 21st 2024, at about 1947, Troopers responded to the report of an active physical disturbance near the area of Erickson Ave. Upon arrival and further investigation, the caller, Cynthia Albertson, was arrested for False Report, as she was Implicating another in an offense. Cynthia was transported to FCC without incident.

On April 21, 2024, at approximately 2:45 pm, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers responded to the Talkeetna Airport for a report of an aircraft incident. Investigation revealed a Cessna 120 single-engine aircraft had lost power shortly after takeoff. The pilot was able to navigate the aircraft back towards the Talkeetna Airport, however they were forced to land on the snow adjacent to the runway. Just before coming to a stop, the aircraft nosed over and came to rest on its roof. The pilot, and sole occupant, reported no injuries to Troopers. The aircraft sustained minor damage and was able to be towed away. The FAA/NTSB was notified by airport personnel.

Investigation revealed that Laskie obtained a 2023 resident sport fishing license while not qualifying for residency in the State of Alaska. Laskie was issued a citation for Making a False Statement on a License Application with a fine of $320.

On 04/21/2024, Kodiak AWT contacted Duane Garner, age 45 of Ouzinkie, while he was sport fishing in Shakmanof Cove near Kodiak Island. Investigation revealed that Garner was sport fishing without a sport fishing license. Garner was issued a citation for Sport Fishing Without a Sport Fishing License with a fine of $220.
